Promote the intersection between neuroscience and engineering in Peru to contribute to the advancement and development of these disciplines at the national level.
Vision:
To be a reference in the promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration between professionals, academics, students and companies in the area of neuroscience and engineering, promoting the development of innovative solutions that benefit Peruvian society.
Goals:
• Evaluate the current state of neuroscience and engineering in Peru, including research, technological advances and available resources.
• Identify the needs, challenges and opportunities at the intersection of neuroscience and engineering in the Peruvian context.
• Promote interdisciplinary collaboration between professionals, academics, students and companies in the area of neuroscience and engineering.
• Prepare a detailed report that describes the current situation and formulates concrete recommendations to promote neuroscience and engineering in Peru.
• Organize a workshop or symposium to share knowledge and experiences among experts and promote awareness about the importance of these disciplines.
• Organize workshops and courses that teach related knowledge of neuroscience and engineering.

- Main Activities:
- Phase 1: Assessment of the Current Situation
1. Compile data on neuroscience and engineering research carried out in Peru, including projects, publications and available resources.
2. Conduct interviews with experts and leaders in neuroscience and engineering to obtain a comprehensive view of the current situation.
3. Identify the main institutions, research centers and companies that work in neuroscience and engineering in the country.
Phase 2: Identification of Needs and Opportunities
1. Analyze the results of the evaluation phase to identify key needs and opportunities in neuroscience and engineering.
2. Establish thematic working groups to address priority areas, such as neurotechnology, biomedical signal processing or neuroengineering.
3. Explore possible strategic alliances with other organizations related to neuroscience and engineering.
Phase 3: Preparation of Recommendations
1. Consolidate the findings of the previous phases in a detailed report that describes the current situation and recommendations for the development of neuroscience and engineering in Peru.
2. Present the report to the IEEE Peru board of directors and other relevant stakeholders.
Phase 4: Dissemination and Education
1. Organize Workshops, talks and webinars on relevant topics in neuroscience and engineering to share knowledge with a wide audience.
2. Collaborate with universities and schools to promote neuroscience and engineering education and foster interest among students.
3. Develop educational material, such as guides or tutorials, for students and professionals interested in the field.
Phase 5: Continued Collaboration
1. Maintain an active presence at conferences and events related to neuroscience and engineering to promote collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
2. Facilitate discussion groups and professional networks to maintain an active community of experts in the field.
3. Network to exchange ideas and research projects.
