- Mission:
- The mission of the proposed IEEE Sri Lanka Cybersecurity Local Group is to foster collaboration among professionals passionate about networking, knowledge-sharing, and advancing cybersecurity technologies. The group aims to establish a thriving cybersecurity ecosystem in Sri Lanka by partnering with government entities, private industries, startups, academia, and the student community at both school and university levels.

- Hosting Cybersecurity Awareness and Training Events, Establishing a Technology Center of Excellence for Cybersecurity Research and Innovation, Collaborating with local governments on cybersecurity frameworks and incident response strategies, Publishing high-impact research papers and technical reports, Encouraging entrepreneurship by attracting and supporting cybersecurity startups, Organizing public seminars and workshops on cybersecurity best practices, Conducting hands-on training sessions on secure coding, ethical hacking, and incident response, Hosting webinars and virtual panels featuring international cybersecurity experts, Collaborating with schools and universities to run awareness programs for students, Commemorating global events like Cybersecurity Awareness Month with targeted campaigns.
