- The mission of the local group "Data Science for Climate Risk Management" is to leverage the power of data science and emerging technologies to address the complex challenges posed by climate extremes. By promoting interdisciplinary knowledge exchange, advancing research, and enabling practical applications, we strive to empower communities towards disaster risk reduction, resilience and drive sustainable progress in the face of a changing climate.

- We aim to foster collaboration among researchers, young professionals, practitioners, and policymakers to develop innovative solutions for assessing, mitigating, and managing climate risks. The following activities are planned to be executed. 01. "Climate Risk" Monthly webinar (invited lecture) collaborated with similar affinity group/society (inside/outside of IEEE) 02. Monthly meetup to discuss current research and opportunities (Collaboration with IEEE members across the common research area) 03. Skill development workshops and other relevant seminars
