IEEE Pune Cyber Security Interest Group (CSIG)

Mission:
To support the IEEE mission of fostering technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity, the IEEE Pune Section Cyber Security Local Group aims to advance knowledge, awareness, and innovation in the field of cybersecurity. The group strives to bring together academia, industry, and government stakeholders to build a secure digital ecosystem through knowledge sharing, skill development, research promotion, and community outreach.

Main Activities:
🔹 Technical Knowledge Sharing • Monthly/quarterly seminars, webinars, panel discussions with cybersecurity experts. • Distinguished lecture series in collaboration with IEEE Computer Society / IEEE ComSoc / IEEE Blockchain community. 🔹 Hands-on Learning • Workshops & Bootcamps on Ethical Hacking, Blockchain Security, Cloud Security, AI in Cyber Defense, Digital Forensics. • Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions for students and professionals. 🔹 Research & Development • Research paper discussions and journal clubs. • Collaboration with startups & industries on real-world cybersecurity projects. 🔹 Outreach & Community Service • Cybersecurity awareness campaigns in schools, colleges, and public institutions. • Partnering with police cyber cells for community engagement. 🔹 Student Engagement • Annual Cyber Security Conclave / Symposium under IEEE Pune Section. • Internship opportunities, mentoring, and project showcases.
