- 1. Entrepreneurship Training & Capacity Building Organize training programs that equip engineers and students with entrepreneurial skills. Examples: Startup fundamentals for engineers Technology commercialization workshops Innovation management training Venture building bootcamps 2. Startup & Innovation Programs Support the creation and growth of technology startups. Programs may include: IEEE Innovation Challenge Rwanda Engineering Startup Incubator Prototype-to-market accelerator Student startup competitions 3. Industry & Investment Engagement Create platforms where innovators connect with industry leaders and investors. Activities: Tech startup demo days Investor roundtables Corporate innovation partnerships Venture capital and angel network engagement 4. Research Commercialization Encourage universities and researchers to transform research into startups. Activities: Research-to-market workshops Intellectual property awareness sessions Innovation labs collaboration University spin-off support 5. Technology & Innovation Events Host events that bring together the innovation ecosystem. Examples: IEEE Rwanda Innovation Summit Engineering Startup Week Hackathons and innovation sprints Technology entrepreneurship forums 6. Mentorship & Community Building Create a strong network of mentors and founders. Activities: Founder mentorship programs Entrepreneur networking sessions Peer learning groups Community meetups
