The Local Innovative Engineering Entrepreneurship Group is established with the purpose of cultivating a dynamic, forward‑looking community of engineers committed to transforming technological insight into sustainable, high‑impact ventures. Our mission is to empower professionals across all engineering disciplines to develop the mindset, capabilities, and collaborative networks required to conceive, design, and launch innovative solutions that address complex societal, industrial, and environmental challenges. We aim to create an environment where technical excellence converges with entrepreneurial ambition. By fostering a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and responsible innovation, the group seeks to equip its members with the strategic vision and practical tools necessary to navigate the evolving landscape of emerging technologies, digital transformation, and global competitiveness. Time Horizon:
More Than Two Years
Main Activities:
1. To promote the entrepreneurial spirit among the members of the Spanish IEEE Section through specialized training in business creation, business viability, new business models and project management. 2. To foster collaboration between future entrepreneurs and the IEEE section and its chapters in matters of mentoring, monitoring and development of business plans, as well as cooperation with companies linked to the engineering sectors in all their areas or others with which synergies arise to stimulate creative thinking, sustainability and the solution of global problems. 3. To help section members enhance their innovative ideas as a basis for potential viable, sustainable business proposals with social impact and local wealth generation, including the establishment of scholarships, financial aid or technical knowledge, as mentors and expert advisors. 4. Collaborate with universities, institutions, national or international organizations on matters of entrepreneurship, business creation and programs or projects related to engineering and the promotion of creativity, marketing and industry. 5. Participate in outreach events, dissemination, congresses and any other that allows the presentation of activities on entrepreneurship, programs, projects, or others related to the creation of companies, generation of innovative ideas and solutions to global problems. 6. Transferring good practices, examples, joint projects and cooperation between the different IEEE sections, as well as arranging agreements and cooperation with the Entrepreneurship Committee of Region 8 in the field of entrepreneurship, business creation and innovation.
