IEEE Veracruz Entrepreneurship Group
- Mission:
- To foster and strengthen a culture of technological entrepreneurship and innovation within the IEEE Veracruz Section by connecting students, Young Professionals, academia, industry, and the local startup ecosystem. The IEEE Veracruz Entrepreneurship Group will act as a local hub for innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurial learning, offering mentorship, networking, and knowledge-transfer opportunities that help turn ideas into viable technology-based projects and startups. During its first year of operation, the group will focus on launching its presence in the region, raising awareness of entrepreneurship among the IEEE community, and delivering inspirational and educational activities in coordination with Young Professionals (YP), contributing to professional growth, regional innovation, and the competitiveness of the Veracruz technology ecosystem.

- Main Activities:
- Local Group Launch & Inauguration Event. An official kick-off event will formally launch the IEEE Veracruz Entrepreneurship Group, present its mission and leadership team, and invite Section members, students, and Young Professionals to join and get involved. Expected date: September 2026. IEEE Entrepreneurship Founder Talk (Conference 1). An inspirational session featuring a successful founder or entrepreneur from the engineering/technology sector who will share their journey, challenges, and key lessons, aimed at motivating students and young professionals to pursue innovative initiatives. Expected date: November 2026. IEEE Entrepreneurship Conference on Innovation & Startups (Conference 2). A talk and panel focused on the local startup ecosystem, technology-based entrepreneurship, and practical paths from idea to venture, developed in collaboration with local accelerators, incubators, and industry partners. Expected date: March 2027. Networking Reception & Community Building. A networking reception to connect members, speakers, and partners, strengthen the local entrepreneurial community, and lay the groundwork for future workshops, mentorship sessions, and pitch events. Expected date: May 2027.
